No Touch Laser eye surgery is the term coined by one clinic that refers to the procedure of photorefractive keratectomy or PRK where a laser is used to remove epithelium at the surface. PRK is a procedure that makes of use of anesthetic drops to the surface of the eye before the epithelial cells, which are the surface cells are, brushed off by a surgeon. The surgeon does this with either a brush or the excimer laser.
