There are three types of rays that the sun emits: visible, infrared and ultraviolet (UV). Generally, our eyes can see only portions of visible light. But the most dangerous of these are the UV rays. Damage to the eye if excessive could be irreversible.

Dry eye syndrome, or simply “dry eye” happens when people lack the correct formation of tears, or a sufficient number of tears, on their eyes’ surfaces. The tears’ function is to oil the eyes and make them relaxed. As people become older, dry eye becomes more common.
